THE SAMANAH GOLF COURSE IN DETAIL

Samanah Golf Course

The Course:

Samanah Country Club golf Course will be equipped with all the requirements to be able host international tournaments. Ratified by Nicklaus Design® experts, the sand underneath the greens was imported from France to follow the requirements of USGA regulations. The fairway turf was hand-planted with grass seedlings imported from Spain and acclimatised for several months on a seven-hectare plot of land reserved for just this purpose in Samanah Country Club tree nursery.

18 Holes Focused On Excellence:

No.1: par 4, 397m: teeing off facing the Atlas Mountains, drive over the lake towards a wide fairway, slight left dogleg, green protected on the left by a bunker.

No.2: par 4, 367m: right dogleg facing the prevailing wind, fairway crossed by a large bunker on the second stroke.

No.3: par 5, 509m: left dogleg, green reachable in two strokes for the long hitters.

No.4: par 4, 404m: long straight hole. Just in front of the Atlas, bunkers protecting the green along its entire right side.

No.5: par 3, 205m: this hole has a waste bunker along its entire left side.

No.6: par 4, 407m: one of the most difficult holes of the course due to its length and the clearing of the wadi to approach the green.

No.7: par 5, 527m: a nice challenge for a second daring stroke over the lake.

No.8: par 3, 187m: more water to cross, an option to the left for a secure ball.

No.9: par 4, 419m: left dogleg with the lake running along its entire side. Good drive position is essential for a second stroke option to the green.

No.10: par 4, 361m: teeing ground above the wadi, narrow passage in the middle of olive trees and cacti forest.

No.11: par 4, 413m: right dogleg, very well protected green.

No.12: par 3, 216m: no particular difficulty besides its length.

No.13: par 4, 385m: left dogleg. This hole is on a gentle slope towards the green and gives a rare opportunity to birdie.

No.14: par 5, 546m: the longest par 5 of the course, with a beautiful view of the Atlas.

No.15: par 4, 329m: assisted by the prevailing winds, the longest hitters will be able to choose a drive to the green, protected by a lake on the right.

No.16: par 4, 426m: the longest par 4 of the course, where a small wadi crosses the fairway and runs alongside the hole.

No.17: par 3, 165m: a precision par 3 defended by a waterfall and bunkers.

No.18: par 5, 503m: the wadi runs along its entire length making it quite dangerous.
