ARCHITECTURE & INTERIOR DESIGN SAMANAH STYLE

Samanah Architecture

The originality and the success of Samanah property comes from the three architects. Alain LELIEUR, assisted by his Moroccan counterpart Abdel llahl SLIMANI and Sybilie DE MARGERIE the interior designer have all created villas with majesty, tradition, modernity and comfort.

To design architecture abroad is like speaking a new language, it is important to ensure that the right message is expressed. Moroccan earthen architecture has its own history and principles and it is important to respect that tradition.

Alain LELIEUR drew his inspiration from such local architecture and brought a touch of modernity to the work of the interior spaces and the openings to the outside, with the constant aim to preserve the aesthetics whilst maximising light.

He appointed the skills of his Moroccan colleague, Abdel llahl SUMANI to review his plans and to reinforce the concept of a modem day Moroccan home. Local investors have all expressed their enthusiasm for the project

Samanah houses had to satisfy both Moroccan and international customers. Today Abdel llahl SUMANI is in charge of work supervision in co-operation with Alain LELIEUR and guarantees the Moroccan authenticity of the project

Backing up the architects' work is the interior designer Sybille DE MARGERIE. She is in charge of putting the final touch to the houses, to ensure that the interior spaces designed by the architect became true living areas in the spirit of an up-market resort

Holiday homes to enjoy truly memorable moments with your family and friends. Villas where one feels at home and benefits from complete comfort and sophistication. That is our commitment to you.

Creating The Atmospheres:

To help you choose the decoration of all rooms in your villa or riad, Samanah have a world class interior design company. SM Design has global experience and 3 main colour palettes from which to choose from. These hues can be harmonised with the coloured Zellige floor patterns to enhance the overall mood. The wall tints are translated into Tadelakt or Stucco depending on the room. As these materials are handmade, each finish is completely individual and there are slight nuances in the final colours.

Enlarging The Living Space: The Terraces

Because of the year round sunshine in Marrakech the terraces and patios are used as full time living areas. At garden level a terrace covered with a roof or shaded by a pergola is an extension of the lounge. Once furnished, it acts as a natural transition between the inside of the villa, the garden and the swimming pool and becomes an exceptional living area.

On the first floor, the terraces are private lounges, reserved for the occupants of the adjacent rooms - intimate areas from which you can see without being seen. These terraces allow you to have privacy without having to stay indoors or isolate yourself from the outside world. Seen from the inside of the villa the upper floor terraces offer an impressive outdoor panorama, as well as serving as an obvious ornamental attraction.

Finally, on the rooftop a large terrace can be fitted out as per Moroccan tradition, allowing you to fully enjoy the exceptional beauty of the Marrakech sunsets. A genuine solarium during the hottest hours of the day and an ideal place to admire the exceptional views to the Atlas Mountains.
